Be our guest at the lovely grounds of the Chateau and experience a uniquely French stay.
Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, this beautiful property is the ideal place to stay for relaxation, sightseeing, and complete immersion into the French culture. La Vaudouriere is a very special historic property once owned by Joseph-Alexandre de Musset, the grandfather of the 19th century poet Alfred de Musset. Alfred's father and all his siblings were born at la Vaudouriere, which also served as hunting grounds, and baptized at the church in Lunay located approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) from the domain.
La Vaudouriere offers its guests the rare opportunity to savor the gentlemanly lifestyle of the French countryside. The local area, filled with charming wine producing villages, historic chateaux, troglodytes houses and medieval churches, offers endless possibilities for day touring. The property itself is the perfect starting point for beautiful hikes through the hills and woods with many walking trails all around.
Paris is a convenient train trip (45 minutes) or car ride (2 hours) away. We strongly recommended a stay of two weeks or more to fully enjoy all that La Vaudouriere's grounds and the nearby areas have to offer.
Enjoy a relaxing stay at the domain of the historical Chateau de la Vaudouriere. Once owned by the family of Alfred de Musset, the century old manor is full of charm and located in the heart of France's Loire Valley.
